Basque cuisine arrives in Dubai with JARA by Martín Berasategui

Spanish chef Martín Berasategui, internationally acclaimed for his multiple Michelin stars, has opened his new restaurant JARA in Dubai, located on the 18th floor of The Lana, Dorchester Collection hotel on Marasi Drive, Business Bay.

The restaurant’s name, JARA, pays tribute to the chef’s eldest granddaughter. The gastronomic concept is rooted in Basque culinary tradition, with a clear focus on product and technique. A charcoal grill and open fire form the heart of the kitchen, where fish, seafood, and meats are prepared with precise execution.

The menu features dishes such as grilled octopus, Galician-style potatoes with paprika, tomato tartare in both fresh and dehydrated versions, and the iconic Basque cheesecake, one of the chef’s most emblematic creations.

The layout of the space is designed to allow diners to observe the culinary process. The open kitchen offers a full view of the chefs at work by the grill, reinforcing the connection between product and plate.

The restaurant features an outdoor terrace with stunning views of Downtown Dubai and offers a full restaurant and bar service. Its facilities include accessibility for guests with reduced mobility, climate control, and parking.

JARA by Martín Berasategui positions itself as a new benchmark in Dubai’s gastronomic scene, bringing Basque culinary identity to one of the newest hotels in the Dorchester Collection.
